Good Dog Training is still offering in-person training during the pandemic, under the condition that sessions be held mostly outside, with everyone present wearing a mask. I sanitize my hands before and after each session and advise that my clients do the same.
In Home School training, I come to your home five days a week for an hour a day. During this time, I work one-on-one with your dog in multiple 10-15 minute sessions. At the end of each week, we’ll meet for a lesson so that I can show you what your dog has learned. For best results, a minimum of two weeks is required for first time clients.

Daily progress reports and weekly owner lessons
Private lessons are one-hour sessions that can happen as frequently as once a week. During this hour, I demonstrate and work with your dog myself intermittently. However, the focus is mainly on teaching you the handling skills required for you to train your dog on your own, outside of our lessons.
Become a good dog trainer yourself
Bond with your dog in a new way
Take ownership of your dog's progress
Both of these programs can be mixed, matched and customized to best suit your needs!

If you are interested in my services, I like to begin with an initial consultation so that I can hear about what your goals are for your dog's training and any problem behaviors you may be experiencing. This also allows me to give you more detailed information on my background and style of training, as well as explain to you how I would approach working toward your training goals.
Ideally, this appointment would take place in your home so I could meet you and your dog and discuss training in person, but since the pandemic I have moved all of my consultations to a virtual format of either a phone call or a Zoom call.
All virtual consultations are free of charge.
At Good Dog Training, I provide my clients with training that is well-rounded, affordable and fun. My mission is to help people form positive relationships with their dogs by providing them with the knowledge and skills required to foster good behavior in their pets.
I believe that good dog training begins in the home; forming good habits and patterns of behavior within our homes and daily routines is crucial to living happy lives with our dogs. I provide in-home training ranging from once or twice a month to five days a week, and I customize my packages to best suit the needs of my clients and their pets.
It is proven that dogs learn best when they are working from a place of motivation rather than compulsion or fear. Dog training should be fun for both you and your dog, so I use lots of positive reinforcement (treats, toys, praise). I employ a system of training called Marker Training; within this system, I can customize my approach to best suit each dog's learning style and temperament. My approach is balanced and fair, because I prioritize working toward well-mannered, obedient dogs who are still happy, confident and full of personality.
I have been training dogs professionally since 2014. I've trained dogs as young as eight weeks and as old as thirteen years, ranging in size from miniature breeds to giant. My skill set is primarily in basic obedience, but I have experience working with a variety of behavioral issues, including anxiety, fearfulness, reactivity, aggression and resource guarding. I'm passionate about working directly with the dogs myself, but I also prioritize owner proficiency, because follow-through and consistency from dog owners are required for good dog training. I pride myself on my ability to teach my clients in a way that is intuitive and easy to understand for people without any prior knowledge of animal behavior; everybody can be a good dog trainer with the proper guidance!
